3-Part Breath breathing

This 3-Part Breathing practice involves:

  1. Inhaling through the nose for a count of 5
  2. Holding your breath for a count of 5
  3. Exhaling for a count of 5

You can complete 3 to 5 rounds of this type of breathing. If you are pregnant, this practice is not indicated and you should not alter your breathing or practice breath retention. This practice can be done seated or laying down, it may be enhanced by placing a hand on the heart and the other hand on the belly.
